The Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century,
55 musicians from 23 countries,
was founded in 1981 in Amsterdam by Frans Brüggen.

Until now, the Orchestra went on tour 97 times,
performing for more than a million visitors
during 1162 concerts
in 293 cities,
in over 300 venues
on 31 countries
of 4 continents.

The Orchestra produced 81 live recordings and hundreds of
broadcasts for radio and television all over the world.
