The Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century, an international group of fifty musicians specializing in the performance
of 18th and early 19th century music, was founded in 1981 by Frans Brüggen. The Orchestra and conductor Kenneth Montgomery are now preparing ten semi-concertante performances of Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro, directed by Jeroen Lopes Cardozo. Aziz Bekkauoi designed the costumes and the stage design is by Melle Hammer.
